The Tupajumi foundation is proud to present the “Dutch Treat” art exhibition at gallery Knipsu, Bergen, Norway. A 3-day exhibition only!! … With “Dutch Treat” Tupajumi would like to oppose to the informal meaning of the well known, some what negative, phrase indicating that everyone needs to pay him or herself.

This group exhibition will treat the visitors on local, national & international qualities of Dutch Art. An up to date reference of what is currently happening within the current contemporary Dutch art scene. Ranging from art students to international known artists.

The exhibition consists out of three opening evenings and as show evolves art wise (from local to international), so will the accompanying Dutch food & drinks become more international known.

This means that on the 1st opening evening the Tupajumi foundation will exhibit local art from the city of Enschede. On the 2nd opening evening we will exhibit art from the local and the national working artists. And on the 3rd opening the artworks from the international artists working in The Netherlands & Dutch artists working abroad will join the exhibition.

A brief introduction on the Tupajumi foundation:

Tupajumi started in 2001 as a small artist network founded by Jonathan den Breejen (NL), Ilpo Jääskeläinen (FI) & Robert Chaplin (CA). After organizing several exhibitions in Helsinki, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Sigmaringen, it was decided to start a foundation to promote artists on international key locations by offering them a new audience.

By the end of 2009 the Tupajumi foundation was officially founded and in January of 2010 the 6 exhibition was on display in Chicago. New exhibitions for the future are planned for the upcoming years: Copenhagen, Dublin, Malmö and San Francisco.

The foundation is currently run by Jonathan den Breejen (NL), Alex Jacobs (NL) & Bérénice Staiger (DE) and lots of enthusiastic artists.

Soon to be seen in a gallery near you.
