berlin mitte residency

March – April 2012
Berlin

The stay in Berlin Mitte allowed us to focus on collaborative strategies and future exhibitions. Instead of being caught up in the everyday administration of running a gallery we were given valuable time to do research and reflect upon our agenda and programming. The research was among other things directed towards the cabaret years in Berlin between the world wars. And it let us see what is going on in the International art scene today. The residency was also divided in individual time for each of us to concentrate on our own work as artists. Among the exhibition spaces that inspired us were KunstWerke, The Berlin Biennale, c/o Berlin, Johann König gallery, Hamburger Bahnhof, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, and more. We were especially happy to be able to attend the Greenlandic film festival Greenland eyes at the Kino Arsenale http://greenlandeyes.com/ and the launch of the latest edition of Toiletpaper magazine.

Our return from Berlin signifies new ideas, top motivation, inspiration and focus. Thank you OCA!
